The Illinois Marathon has been created with the runner in mind.  This will be a first class, quality event, bringing in the competitive and recreational runners from around the country. 

While the cities, the course and the University of Illinois are ready for thousands or participants, expect nothing but the best in customer service.

The Illinois Marathon is the result of the combined efforts of the following groups:

• City of Champaign

• City of Urbana

• University of Illinois

• Champaign County Sports Commission

• Christie Clinic

• Second Wind Running Club

• Marathon & Beyond Magazine

• Body-N-Sole Running Store

• CasMar Events 

The above groups have been “laying the groundwork” for this event and will be working to ensure a quality event.
