Half Marathon Information
All participants must pick up their packets during the Health & Fitness Expo at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC). The expo is open Thursday, April 28, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday, April 29, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The race starts near State Farm Center, runs through campus, loops through Urbana, back through campus, and finishes on the 50-yard line of Memorial Stadium. View the map.
The course is USATF-certified (Number IL09106JW).
Date and Time
The half marathon starts at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30. We are using a wave start.
The course will be closed to traffic for participants who are on pace to finish in 3:30 or less (roughly 16 minutes per mile). Slower participants may continue after traffic is allowed onto the race course, but they do so at their own risk and must follow pedestrian statutes.
Prices go up as race day gets closer.

Half marathon entrants will receive a high-quality gender-specific short-sleeve technical shirt Leslie Jordan brand and a drawstring backpack.Finishers get a great medal, finish line food, and one beverage at the 27th-Mile Celebrate Victory Bash on Saturday. (Entrants must display their race bib to receive the beverage.)

Note: Half marathon participants must be at least 12 years old on race day.
Prize money will be given out to the top 3 female and male participants. Prize money winners are not eligible for individual awards.
Prize money awards are based on gun time. See the chart below for prize money.

$200 bonus for breaking the overall record while winning the race: 1:05:56 (men), 1:17:13 (women).
In addition to the prize money, there will be first, second, and third place awards for each of the age groups listed above. Age group awards are based on chip time.
