Marathon Information

Packet Pickup

All participants must pick up their packets during the Health & Fitness Expo at the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC). The expo is open Thursday, April 24, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday, April 25, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Course

The race starts near Assembly Hall, runs through campus, loops through Urbana, back through campus, out into Champaign, and finishes on the 50-yard line of Memorial Stadium. View the map (2 pages).

The course is USATF-certified (Number IL-09126-JW).

Date and Time

The marathon starts at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26. We are using a wave start.

The course will be closed to traffic for participants who are averaging faster than 13:45 per mile. Slower participants may continue after traffic is allowed onto the race course, but they do so at their own risk and must follow pedestrian statutes. Race volunteers, the finish line, and post-race festivities will remain active long enough to accommodate runners taking up to 7 hours.
